Rapid growth North Bay company is hiring! Reporting to the Controller, this position will be responsible for standard costing and analysis, inventory management, and other accounting entries, reporting and analysis. The Cost Accountant provides financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, and reporting standard cost and inventory data. To qualify, you must have prior experience as a Cost Accountant in a manufacturing environment using Standard Cost methods, and very strong systems experience including ERP applications, report writers, and advanced Excel.

Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs, collecting operational data, and analyzing variances. |

Guides cost analysis process and inventory management by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions. |

Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials. |

Confirms costs by collecting, interpreting, and reporting data. |

Prepares variance analysis and other reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. |

Works closely with Operations and Engineering departments, and overseas contract manufacturers. |

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
Prior experience as a Cost Accountant in a manufacturing company establishing Standard Costing, preparing variance analysis, and inventory accounting
Strong systems experience including ERP, Report Writers, Advanced Excel, databases
Experience working with contract manufacturers, overseas a plus
Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Works well in very fast-paced, changing growth environment
